Eating balanced meals can help you eat healthier. The main principle of healthy eating for adults and children over the age of five years old is:

Eat at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables

Base your meals around a starchy food – e.g. wholemeal pasta

Have breakfast!

Cut down the amount of saturated fat in your diet

Limit your salt intake – no more than 6g = 1 teaspoon

Drink lots of water!
